Room Reservation Policy

Specific Room Usage Policies

General Guidelines

In order to provide the best service to the Rowan University community, the following guidelines govern the scheduling and use of meeting rooms in the Campbell Library.

Food is permitted only for official functions in specifically designated areas. When food is served, campus dining services must be used. The individual responsible for room reservation must contact University Dining Service (x4620) for ordering, preparation and cleanup. Arrangements must be made for same-day pickup of leftovers. Food is restricted to the room where it is served and may not be eaten in other parts of the library.

Furniture - if furniture is to be rearranged, Facilities must be notified by a work order at least two weeks in advance to set up and have restored to its original arrangement.

Signs - No signs are to be taped or tacked to the doors or walls of the room being used or to the main entrance of the library. Announcements may be sent or emailed to Kathleen Beyer (beyer@rowan.edu), who will post them on the kiosk in the atrium.

Noise prevention is extremely important in order to provide the best service to our students. Therefore, it is imperative that doors of the meeting rooms be kept closed at all times. If patrons leave the assigned room, conversations should be kept to a minimum. Amplified sound devices are not permitted in the library. Talking on cell phones is restricted to the areas between the front doors of the foyer.

Equipment needed over and above what the library supplies may be reserved through the Instructional Technology department x4588.

Doors may not be propped open under any circumstances.
